Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni indicated UEW’s commitment to extend the frontiers of academia with MUCG. He said “we hope our commitment and track record in this partnership would serve as the springboard for MUCG to introduce more programmes from UEW, especially at the postgraduate level”.
“As a University of high repute, our mandate doesn’t only end with training our students to acquire knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values desirable for society; it also hinges on forging formidable collaborations with other institutions around research, teaching, and service bolstered by developing strong relationships among Faculty in the institutions,” he averred.
He emphasised that UEW was extremely determined to discharge its mentoring obligations to MUCG with distinction. “We are particularly excited to share with MUCG our flame of Excellence; one that dispels the darkness of ignorance and serves as a source of enlightenment and empowerment to all peoples of contemporary and future society.”
The UEW Vice-Chancellor congratulated MUCG graduands on bracing the COVID-19 pandemic, other storms and overcoming all hurdles to successfully complete their respective programmes. He entreated them to dare to create and build their own jobs, even if in small and humble ways.
“You will be amazed at how things will flourish swiftly from little beginnings to greater heights. Cultivate honesty and the fear of God in your lives and victory shall be yours! Make your University proud through your contributions, especially by being hardworking, innovative, committed, and ethical in your future work and leadership,” Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni admonished.
