U.E.W Ranked among the greeniest Universities in the World

The University of Education, Winneba placed 452nd out 516 Universities in the 2016 UI GreenMetric World Rankings.

The ranking which is done annually aim at comparing universities effort towards sustainability and environmental friendliness in the discharge of their mandates. Out of the total number of 75 countries surveyed, UEW was the only university from Ghana.

Information used for the ranking were weighted in six broad categories namely;

O.I.A Tasked to Boost UEW Alumni Database

The Office for Institutional Advancement (O.I.A) has been tasked to boost UEW Alumni Database to create an active platform for engaging the Alumni community in projecting its achievements.

This came up in the opening remarks of the Deputy Registrar in charge of the Division of Human Resource, Mrs. Christie Okae-Anti, at an in-service training held for staff of the Office for Institutional Advancement from 10th to12th December, 2016 at the Pecku Conference Room.

UEW PARTICIPATES IN THE 10TH GHANA HIGHER EDUCATION FAIR

The University of Education, Winneba, and (UEW) participated in the on-going 10th Ghana Higher Education Fair in Wa, in the Upper West Region of Ghana organised by I-Texon Ghana. The first phase of the fair commenced on the 18th January and ended on 20th January, 2017. It brought together students from about fifteen (15) Second Cycle Institutions in the Upper West Region of Ghana to have interaction with five (5) Tertiary Institutions in the country regarding their academic programmes on offer.
