Have you ever called a friend or tried to find out from several people some short codes to many of the products and services provided by mobile telecommunication services? Why do you have to memorize USSD short codes for all your mobile networks when you can easily access it on your Smart phone?

TelcoBox is developed to remove the inconvenience of interacting with USSD sessions when you delay by sending a single request with a single button.

SOFTWARE AND TALENT EXHIBITION CONTEST 2017

The Software and Talent Exhibition Contest was a scheduled activity as part of the INFOCTESS (Information and Communication Technology Students' Society) Week Celebration held on 5th April, 2017 at the Main Computer Laboratory of the Department of ICT Education. The purpose of the event was to encourage students to showcase their innovative ideas and build on their talents in the ICT field. There were five contestants in the exhibition.

ASHIS ADJUDGED THE BEST CLUB IN UEW

The Association of History Students has been awarded as the best club  in the University for 2016/2017 Academic year at the NUGS Excellence Awards Ceremony.

The Association was established in 2013 with the objective to create a common forum for the students and teachers of history to actively participate in the decision making structures of the Department and to ensure that the challenges,grievances and needs of students are met.The association also organises occasional workshops,exhibitions,competitions,annual get- togethers and also promote professional ethics among members.

On 14th May, 2004 the University of Education Act, Act 672 was enacted to upgrade the status of the University College of Education of Winneba to the status of a full University. 

Gender Mainstreaming Directorate

BACKGROUND

The Gender Mainstreaming Directorate was set up in support of effort to promote gender equity at various levels of the educational arena in Ghana and to ensure that gender gains the needed focus in various university activities.

UEW RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT FUND (RISDF) - CALL FOR PROPOSALS

UEW – Vodafone Foundation Awards Ten Scholarships to Promote Science Education

The Vodafone Ghana Foundation in partnership with the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate of the University of Education, Winneba has awarded scholarships to 10 Female Students pursueing various Science, Mathematics and Technology related programmes in UEW.

The Ceremony was held on 25th April, 2017 and witnessed by Staff of the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate, Vodafone Ghana Foundation, British Council, Heads of Departments and other Staff of UEW.

University Administrators asked to Strengthen Leadership

Dr. Paul Effah, President of the Radford University College, has asked university administrators to become more innovative in the areas of resource mobilization and management.

This, he indicated, was necessary to aid the smooth running of the institutions.

He was delivering a paper at a continuous professional development workshop at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.
