Training of First Aiders

The Counselling Centre is recruiting  students who want to offer assistance to their colleagues in emergency cases in the halls and hostels as First Aiders.

All interested students will serve as backup to assist in Counselling service.  They will give First Aid to distress students in the Halls/Hostels during the night or weekends when the Centre is not operating.

SRC Presents Footballs to Amalgamated Sports and Clubs Office

The Student Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Education, Winneba, has presented 50 footballs to the office of Amalgamated Sports and Clubs to promote sporting activities on campus.

The SRC President, Mr. Jarvis Kojo Koffie in the company of the SRC Financial Secretary, Mr. Isaac Afful and the General Sports and Games Secretary, Mr. Eric Aloko Ayine made the presentation on 24th February, 2017 at the Office of the Chairman of Amalgamated Sports and Clubs, University of Education, Winneba.

With this, death is summoned into the presence of Oboadea, creator of the universe, by life to explain his unjust way of killing. Will death be able to redeem himself or will Bediako be able to conquer death, his nemesis?

Massive Revolution in infrastructural development: UEW a Beautiful Sight to Behold

The idiom “don’t judge a book by its cover” does not hold a place, when talking of the state of the art conference facilities and administration blocks on the Winneba campus of the University of Education, Winneba.

The University, for that matter UEW winneba campus is a place where many academics, corporate groups and individuals would want to be, either to have a tour of its beautiful campus, library facilities, sporting facilities or utilize its modern conference facilities. Each year the Department of History Education, University of Education, Winneba, sets aside a day in commemorating the independence celebration of Ghana, by way of the Ghana National History Day (GNHD) celebration. As Ghanaians remember their independence, the National History Day event is a call to all that our History is very important and should not be disregarded or forgotten. It is only in remembering the past that we can move ahead as a nation.

Soundflames - A Musical Event

As part of the Music Department's commitment to connect the University and its programmes to industry, Soundflames a musical event to be featured fortnightly by the department in collaboration with Bigshots Music has been introduced. The concept allows an industry player to interact with the university community through workshops and performances. The maiden show comes off with Bessa Simons and his Band on the 2nd of March, 2017 at the Central campus.

U.E.W Ranked among the greeniest Universities in the World

The University of Education, Winneba placed 452nd out 516 Universities in the 2016 UI GreenMetric World Rankings.

The ranking which is done annually aim at comparing universities effort towards sustainability and environmental friendliness in the discharge of their mandates. Out of the total number of 75 countries surveyed, UEW was the only university from Ghana.
