As part of preparations to welcome the first group of students of the Languages Education to the Ajumako Campus, management was at the campus on Friday, August 13, 2010 to inspect facilities at the campus.

As part of UEW’s strategy to bridge the representation gap at the students level, and to promote its Gender Mainstreaming Programme, a scholarship scheme has been established for female students with the view to increasing their enrolment at the University. This is to assist females in all subject areas especially those enrolled in science based programmes. The scholarship targets females who qualify to enter the university but are cut off from higher education because of poor financial background. Selection and award is based primarily on two considerations.

• FINANCIAL NEED of the student.
• MERIT (i.e. applicant’s performance in the selection exams for both direct and mature applicants).
