Acting Vice-Chancellor of UEW Pays Working Visit to COLTEK
The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has reiterated UEW Management's resolve to complete projects at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK).
He made this comment during a surprise visit to the College on Friday, 10th August, 2018 to gather firsthand information about the administration of the campus and commended highly the Management and staff of the College for their dedication to duty.
The Ag. Vice-Chancellor first visited sites of various ongoing construction projects and then moved to the lecture halls to interact with lecturers and students. Such visits, he explained, would not only create the means for him to draw closer to the staff and students but also help in apprising himself with the real conditions on the various campuses of the University and motivate staff to continue to work hard.

Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni expressed satisfaction at the commitment with which the Kumasi Campus was running the Sandwich mode. “I have gone round the campus; I have visited various lecture halls and seen for myself how lecturers have been teaching students with dedication. What I have seen this afternoon is amazing and it is far from the general perception out there that owing to the compressed nature of the sandwich mode, the standards might not be so high.” He said.
He therefore, encouraged the lecturers to maintain the momentum and even strive higher since their work had far-reaching consequences for the development of the country. According to the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, there were many positive things and happenings he observed at the Campus that he was going to work at and implement on other satellite campuses of the University. He was full of praise for Management of COLTEK for the orderliness and dedication of all staff under their control.
After visiting the various project sites, the Ag. Vice-Chancellor envisaged the urgent need to raise the necessary funds to complete works on ongoing projects and gave the assurance that he would do his utmost to realise the completion of the projects.
The Ag. Principal of COLTEK, Prof. Frederick Kwaku Sarfo, assisted by a Lecturer, Mr. Joseph Asomani, conducted Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni round the campus.
